WHITE SANDS LOCATION AND GENERAL NAVIGATIONAL DISCRIPTION:
White Sands is a gated community in Bavaro – Arena Gorda, consisting of around 14 different condo communities. White Sands area is near these Resorts: Occidental, Palladium Resort, the Princess Resorts, Ocean Blue, VIK, and Iberostar family of resorts. The Nautilus is one of the higher end luxury condo communities inside White Sands, and one of the few condo communities with legal authority of ownership (and rental guests) rights to the private beach of White Sands (sandwiched between 2 Princess Resorts.

The Avalon Casino, and other commercial shopping, dining areas near White Sands, in Bavaro are about a 15 minute walk/ 3 minute golf cart ride away. The commercial areas are closest to the Occidental and Paradisus Resorts.

The famous HGTV fun, safe, expat neighborhoods of El Cortecito/ Los Corales are a short 6-7 minute (car) drive away where you’ll find 4-5 more public beach accesses (w/ beach bar/ restaurants), over 45 dining options, a variety of shopping, grocery stores, Doctors, Dentist, pharmacies, cash exchange/ ATM's, gyms, spas, salons, fruit stands, bakeries, recreational areas (tennis, basketball, a dive shop, and so much more!

The Downtown Punta Cana area, is about a 20 minute car drive away.

From the highway entrance from White Sands, the Punta Cana Village and Resort is only a 20 minute drive, and a about a 22-minute drive to the Punta Cana International Airport.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Should you want to venture to other beaches, malls, dining options or even the newer and Active Downtown Punta Cana area; Public bus transportation is available (for only $1.00 p/p one way) and pick up is accessible just about anywhere. The Public buses are very safe and used often by tourist and expats (as well as our friendly Dominican locals). 20- 25-minute rotations providing affordable transportation to places like Malls, golf courses, Punta Cana Village area Banks, various dining options, Clubs, beaches, endless shopping and dining.
